SOUTHERN SECTION PLAYOFF PAIRINGS : Fountain Valley, La Quinta Forced to Hit the Road

Fountain Valley and La Quinta, both trying to become the first Orange County teams to win consecutive Southern Section baseball titles, will be on the road Tuesday in the semifinals.
Fountain Valley, the defending Division I champion, will play Fontana at Long Beach’s Blair Field at 7 p.m. La Quinta, the defending Division III champion, will play Pico Rivera El Rancho at Cal State Los Angeles.
In another Division III game, Santa Margarita will play host to Ontario Chaffey at Saddleback College. In Division II, Sonora will play Temecula Valley at Cypress College. In Division V, Calvary Chapel will play Santa Monica St. Monica at a site to be determined.
In the Division I softball semifinals, Mater Dei will play Los Alamitos at Canyon High, and Marina will play host to Westlake Village Westlake at Golden West College. In Division II, Woodbridge will play Santa Fe Springs St. Paul at Heritage Park in Irvine. In Division III, Savanna will play Whittier La Serna at Loara High.
All games except Fountain Valley-Fontana will begin at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
