Safety Components International Inc.: The Costa Mesa manufacturer of automotive air bags and supplier of ordnance and other related defense products said Friday that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission to offer 1.5 million shares of common stock.
The company said it plans to use the proceeds to construct a manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic, expand the capacity of its British and Mexican manufacturing facilities, enhance research, development and prototype capabilities and provide for other general corporate purposes.
