Santa Margarita 4, Irvine 3 (10)--Danielle Rickert tripled and scored on Kari Fenelli’s single as Santa Margarita (12-15, 5-5) upset first-place Irvine (16-9, 8-2).
In the South Coast League:
Mater Dei 4, Capistrano Valley 3 (8)--Courtney Ryan’s bases-loaded single gave No. 4 Mater Dei (23-4, 9-1) the victory.
San Clemente 2, Dana Hills 0--Heather Hollis’ two-run homer gave her 36 RBIs for San Clemente (19-7, 5-5), which tied Trabuco Hills for second place.
In the Sunset League:
Huntington Beach 1, Los Alamitos 0 (10)--Nicole Kreipl scored on a double steal as Huntington Beach (12-15, 4-6) upset No. 6 Alamitos (18-6, 6-4).
Marina 13, Edison 0 (5, mercy rule)--Lynette Velazquez had three hits, scored three runs and drove in two for No. 3 Marina (19-5, 9-1).
Esperanza 2, Fountain Valley 1--Chrissy Bryant’s RBI single in the seventh scored Nicole Brunk as Esperanza (11-12, 5-5) upset No. 8 Fountain Valley (15-13, 6-4).
