OXNARD : Black Political Group to Hold Conference

The Black American Political Assn. of California is scheduled to hold a daylong conference today at Oxnard College.
The conference, which starts at 8 a.m., will feature state Assemblywoman Juanita McDonald of Carson as the keynote speaker. McDonald was the first African American woman elected to the Carson City Council before her run for the Assembly.
The conference will feature workshops such as Youth Against Violence, Preparation for Political Office, Political Careers and Affirmative Action.
Registration is $15 for adults and $6 for children under 17. Lunch is included.
