New Chairman: David L. Cargile has moved up quickly at US Facilities Corp.
Cargile, 49, was named president of the medical insurance carrier last August and recently was made chairman, replacing George Kadonada, who resigned.
Cargile joined the company in 1991 to oversee corporate development, product innovation and potential acquisitions opportunities. Instead of making any major purchases, however, US Facilities became a takeover target last year.
Kadonada resisted the hostile bid by Fidelity National Financial Inc. in Irvine, the nation’s fifth-largest title insurance carrier, and Cargile appears to be following the same course. Fidelity plans to put its own slate of directors up for election at the next annual meeting of US Facilities.
