A Miniature Trip to the Turn of the Century
I made a dollhouse from scratch and have been working on it for 12 years. It is furnished in the style of my grandfather’s house, which was built in 1905. Every time I look in the dollhouse, I am transported back to a time that is no more. Whenever I make a new piece of furniture or sew clothes for a member of the miniature farming family, I can’t help but reflect on my ancestors who lived so long ago. In a way they have been resurrected through my dollhouse.
