Sunny Hills 6, Loara 4--Josh Hochgesang hit a fifth-inning home run to give Sunny Hills the lead. Pitcher Scott Warkintin got the save for the Lancers (13-4).
In the Dole Big West Tournament:
La Quinta 12, Los Alamitos 2--Corey Fox was four for four and C.J. Livernois was three for four as the Aztecs cruised to the semifinal victory at Windrow Park in Irvine.
Fox had two hits in an eight-run third inning that helped fourth-ranked La Quinta (17-2-1) take the lead, 10-1.
Craig Jones, who gave up five hits and stuck out three, pitched a five-hitter for the Aztecs, who will play today for the championship against Marina, a 1-0 winner over Trabuco Hills.
David Licht had a run-scoring single for Los Alamitos (7-9).
