SAN PEDRO : Man Pushing Vehicle on Freeway Is Struck, Killed

A man pushing his disabled vehicle on the southbound Harbor Freeway was struck by a van and killed on his 23rd birthday, officials said Tuesday.
Jose Flores, of Gardena, was fatally injured about midnight Monday, said coroner’s spokesman Scott Carrier.
The motorist whose van struck Flores was questioned and released. The accident, which occurred near Channel Street in San Pedro, remains under investigation.
