Chase Exon
Woodbridge, Freshman
Tennis/Singles
Exon plays No. 3 singles for the Warriors, but opponents are wise not to overlook him. Exon, Jonny Biorkman and Yoshi Suzuki make a potent trio. “On any given day we can beat each other,” Exon said. “That’s why we have been doing so well as a team. Last week, I just had a good week.” Exon was the only one of the three to win nine sets in three Woodbridge victories. He won, 6-2, 7-6, 6-4, as the then third-ranked Warriors beat No. 1 Dana Hills, 10-8. He won, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4, in a 15-3 victory over El Toro and, 7-5, 6-1, 6-3, in a 12-6 victory over Corona del Mar. Exon has won 21 consecutive singles sets for the Warriors (13-1), ranked No. 2 in the county this week.
