Taiwan-China Group Buys Office Complex: Financial Capital Investment Co. of West Los Angeles bought the 12-story Pacific Center in Downtown Los Angeles, the latest in a string of commercial real estate purchases in Southern California by investors from those nations. Though the group declined to disclose the purchase price, sources familiar with the deal said it was nearly $20 million. The building on West 6th Street between Grand Avenue and Olive Street was sold by Highbridge Partners, a Los Angeles real estate firm that had acquired the property from Pacific Telesis Group.
