All government earthquake centers in Southern California will close April 28, including two in Ventura County, officials announced Friday.
The Ventura County centers are in Simi Valley, at 71 Tierra Rejada Road, and in Fillmore, at 552 Sespe Ave.
The centers are run by the state Office of Emergency Services and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Residents seeking assistance after the centers close can call the disaster help line at 800-525-0321.
“OES and FEMA recognize that people affected by the earthquake will continue to need help,” said Paul Flores, deputy state coordinating officer. “Those people who need help will be served. We will not turn our backs on anyone.”
