Kuwait Oil Workers Suspend Strike: Kuwaiti oil workers suspended their 7-day-old strike in exchange for a government pledge to consider demands for promotions and pay raises, a union spokesman said. Ismail Kandari of the union’s board of directors said the agreement was reached during a meeting between labor leaders and Oil Minister Abdul-Mohsen Madaj.
