Blockbuster Offers a Credit Card: With Paramount Studios as a backdrop, Blockbuster Entertainment, NationsBank and Visa U.S.A. executives unveiled a card that will give users credit toward entertainment purchases. Consumers who use the card to buy something will earn “Blockbuster Bucks,” which in turn can be used as cash at Blockbuster Video, Blockbuster Music, Discovery Zone FunCenters and Paramount Parks locations nationwide, said Blockbuster Entertainment Group President Steven R. Berrard. Cardholders will find their “bucks,” which are worth one-fifth of their total purchases and come in $5 increments, attached to the bottoms of their monthly statements.
