Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc.: The Garden Grove manufacturer of memory subsystems said Wednesday that it will write off $1.1 million to $1.5 million for the fourth quarter ended Feb. 28 to reflect the shutdown of certain low-selling product lines and the reduction in the value of related fixed assets. The company also said it will establish a $300,000 valuation allowance for the fourth quarter for a deferred tax benefit recorded in the previous year. Dense-Pac said the write-off and valuation allowance will result in a loss for the fourth quarter and will increase the year-end loss. The company, however, didn’t release its results yet.
