1994: 5-0 in Sunset League. Orange County champions, Southern Section Division II champions, sixth at State meet.
Key returners: Carrie Caulkins, 1,600, 3,200, Sr.; Inshirah Jones, 100 LH, 300 IH, Sr.; Kristi Kierulff, HJ, LJ, Sr.; Kelly O’Conner, LJ, TJ, DT, Jr.; Christine Oheari, 100 LH, So.; Heather Perrin, 400, 800, Sr.; Courtney Pugmire, 800, 1,600, Sr.; Jenny Titus, 1,600, Sr.

Outlook: Defending county champions return everyone from a team that not only won its league but also took the county title and the section Division II championship. Kierulff is a two-time State champion in the high jump. Pugmire qualified for the Foot Locker Nationals in cross-country last fall. Caulkins finished fifth in the 1,600 meters at the State meet. O’Conner is one of the county’s leading horizontal jumpers, while Oheari came on at season’s end. Perrin heads a list of strong quartermilers who could give the Aztecs a powerful 1,600-meter relay team.
