Tim Flack, a CBS television vice president who pushed the network into the No. 1 ratings spot a few years ago by helping develop such series as “Major Dad,” “The Nanny” and “Dave’s World.” He joined CBS in 1988 after leaving Columbia Pictures, where he was a senior vice president for talent and casting. Earlier he had been vice president for casting at NBC television. Most recently he was vice president, creative affairs, at CBS Entertainment. Flack was believed to be in his 40s.
