Weekend TV : ‘Duckman’ Cometh--and So Does ‘Office’
The quirky, animated “Duckman” series begins its second season this weekend with the title character (voiced by Jason Alexander) inadvertently saving the President’s life and turning himself into a media sensation (at 10:30 tonight on USA cable).
And sitcom veteran Valerie Harper returns too, this time as a secretary in “The Office,” a comedy series premiering at 9 tonight on CBS (Channels 2 and 8).
On the public-affairs front, House Speaker Newt Gingrich talks about affirmative action, welfare reform and the minimum wage on BET’s “Lead Story,” hosted by Ed Gordon (today at 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.).
