Morrison Knudsen May Sell Some Units: The Boise, Ida.-based company, which is operating under bank waivers after defaulting on its loans, said it will explore the sale of several non-core subsidiaries to bolster its core construction and engineering business. Morrison Knudsen Corp.’s acting chairman, William Clark, said the company is pursuing the sale of its Western Aircraft Inc. unit and its investment in the American Bank of Poland. It is also considering disposing its equity stakes of 46.4% in MK Gold Co., 65% in MK Rail Corp. and 63% in McConnell Dowell. MK Gold is an international gold mining company. MK Rail designs, manufactures and distributes locomotive components. Australia-based McConnell Dowell is an international construction company.
