NEWPORT BEACH : Central Library Adds Curbside Book Drop
The Central Library has installed a curbside book drop.
“The Avocado Avenue book drop should ease congestion in the library parking lot, since patrons using it to return books no longer need to enter the lot,” city librarian LaDonna Kienitz said.
The drop box is on the west side of the library, 1000 Avocado Ave.
The old book drop near the library’s front entrance remains. Both are accessible 24 hours a day.
Library patrons are asked to use the drops for books only, returning videotapes and other audio/visual materials inside the library at the regular return counter, Kienitz said.
