Unionfed Financial Corp.: The Brea financial services holding company reported a loss of $3.3 million, or 12 cents a share, for its second fiscal quarter, which ended Dec. 31. That compared to a loss of $7.2 million, or 28 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier.For the first six months of its fiscal year, the company posted a loss of $7 million, or 26 cents a share, compared to a loss of $11.3 million, or 79 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. The company reported assets of $884.9 million as of Dec. 31, compared to $942.2 million on the same date a year earlier.
