‘Glengarry Glen Ross’

As delineated by David Mamet, who adapted his Pulitzer Prize-winning play to the screen in 1992, the real estate salesmen who work in this corner of New York City are a ferocious lot--abrasive, abusive and tormented by turns. But when they talk, everybody listens, for Mamet is a true magician with streetwise words. As evidenced here, he’s writer who recognizes the poetry hidden in the most scalding language. “Glengarry� is filled with verbal bravura arias, and under the direction of James Foley, a high-profile cast--including Kevin Spacey and Jack Lemmon (from left) as well as Al Pacino, Alec Baldwin and Ed Harris--go through it flawlessly (TMC Saturday at 1:45 a.m.).
