Stellar Field for Redondo 10K
The 17th annual Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K run will begin at 8 a.m. today.
The 6.2-mile race along the coastline, which starts at Beryl Street and ends at Catalina Avenue, is expected to attract one of the largest 10K fields on the West Coast.
Top male competitors include former American indoor 3,000-meter record holder Brian Abshire, 1988 U.S. Olympic marathon runner Mark Conover and former Redondo Beach winners Thom Hunt and Tom Wysocki.
Top female runners include two-time race winner Silvia Mosqueda and defending champion Linda Somers.
Winning men and women will each receive $1,000.
