WEST ADAMS : Arts, Performance Classes Available
Registration is under way for winter classes at William Grant Still Arts Center. The eight-week sessions for children and adults begin Monday.
Classes for children ages 7 to 17 include theater workshops exploring magic, pantomime, face painting, acting, improvisation and storytelling; voice instruction for children ages 10 to 17; a show-oriented Storytelling Performance Workshop for ages 8 to 14; experimental clay, a bilingual class offered for ages 11 to 14, and piano for ages 7 to 17.
Children and youth classes are primarily after school and weekends.
Adult classes, which are in the late afternoon, early evening and Saturdays, include voice, soft sculpture dolls and an Afro-Cuban drum class that offers bilingual instruction.
Fees for some classes range from $16 to $32, and students may be required to provide materials. The center is at 2520 S. West View St.
