Teen-Age Girl Found Dead in Sun Valley
SUN VALLEY — The body of a teen-age girl was found dumped alongside La Tuna Canyon Road early Thursday morning, Los Angeles police said.
The remains of the girl, whose identity remained unknown Thursday, were spotted by motorists on La Tuna Canyon about half a mile west of the Foothill Freeway, said LAPD Detective Frank Bishop of the Foothill Division. There were no obvious signs of trauma to her body.
Bishop described the girl as a Latina, about 5-foot-4, with shoulder-length reddish-brown hair, wearing a black top and blue jeans. She had “Nancy†tattooed on her back and “Jose†tattooed on her left hand.
A scar was also found under her navel, indicating she may have undergone a Cesarean section at one time, Bishop said.
