Cedric Ceballos, who now plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, will be inducted this year to the club’s Alumni Hall of Fame. Ceballos, who participated in the club as a teen-ager, went on to play basketball at Ventura College and Cal State Fullerton before joining the Phoenix Suns.

Natalie Bryce, 13, and Rueben Ojeda, 16, will be honored as this year’s Youths of the Year, selected in a vote by other teen-agers and staff members.

The Boys & Girls Club of Ventura was first established in 1938 as the Ventura Police Boys Club. It provides sports and recreation, leadership and music clubs, drama performances, arts and crafts and field trips for Ventura youths.
