CS Northridge Wins League Debut
SAN LUIS OBISPO — Cal State Northridge made only one field goal in the last six minutes, but still managed to hold off Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 76-69, Friday night before 1,124 at Mott Gym in the first American West Conference men’s basketball game.
Northridge (4-10) saw a 10-point lead all but evaporate in the final nine minutes as Cal Poly (1-15), led by Brian Stewart, twice pulled within two points.
Stewart scored a career-high 17 points.
