The futuristic look of Irvine’s skyline has been noticed by Hollywood.

Several recent movies including “Demolition Man†and “Defending Your Life†were filmed in the city.

The unusual architecture of Irvine’s low-rise office towers have proven to be an effective backdrop for science fiction films such as “Demolition Man,†which starred Sylvester Stallone.

The office towers are located in the Irvine Business Complex just east of John Wayne Airport and in the Spectrum business park near the San Diego and Santa Ana freeway interchange.

John Wayne Airport was used for a scene in “Clear and Present Danger†with Harrison Ford.
