Video to Aid Home Rebuilding: A new consumer education video titled “Rebuilding After a Disaster� has been produced to help Californians in the wake of calamities. Sponsored by the state Department of Consumer Affairs and the Home Base home improvement retail chain, the 25-minute tape guides consumers through the rebuilding process after an earthquake, flood or other natural disaster. It is being offered for $2.99 at Home Base stores and is available for checkout from public libraries and field offices of the Contractors State License Board. It includes guidelines on how to evaluate damage and set priorities, where to look for financing, how to find a licensed contractor and resolving other problems.
