Grubb & Ellis Co.’s Oxnard office has been named marketing agent for the former Fidelity National Title Building in northeast Oxnard.
James D. Gloyd, the same agent who originally sold the site to Fidelity, will be in charge of the account, Grubb & Ellis said.
Fidelity purchased the property at Rice Avenue and the Ventura Freeway in 1988. The title company built the 28,000-square-foot structure, which Gloyd sold to a private investor. Fidelity has occupied 9,000 square feet of the building.
The area has been the scene of considerable development in recent years. Projects have included Shopping at the Rose center, the Oxnard Factory Outlet mall, St. John’s Regional Medical Center and the former Chevron USA building, now occupied by GTE California.
