CALABASAS : Improvements to Begin on Stunt Road
- Share via
Stunt Road will be improved in the unincorporated area near the city of Calabasas, Los Angeles County officials said Wednesday.
The project, to be administered by the county Department of Public Works, includes construction of a corrugated steel pipe drainage ditch to replace an existing undersized ditch.
“By improving drainage to take the water runoff away, the road will be more stable,” said Joel Bellman, press deputy for Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, who represents the area.
Bids for the project, approved last month by the Board of Supervisors, will be taken beginning Dec. 20.
Starting in February, 1995, the project should take 35 working days and be completed in March. Once work begins, traffic on Stunt Road may be reduced to one lane for both directions during daytime hours and be controlled by flag operators.
