Edison’s Dave Mohs will step down as girls’ volleyball coach, he said Monday.
In 12 seasons, Mohs helped the Chargers reach the Southern Section playoffs every season. This season, Edison won its fourth Sunset League title under Mohs and advanced to the State playoffs for only the second time in school history.
Mohs also coached boys’ basketball at Edison since the school’s opening in 1969 until 1982.
“It’s time to move on,†Mohs said. “We had a great year.â€
Assistant Dennis Creighton probably will be his replacement, Mohs said.
Mohs will continue to teach physical education at Edison, where he is chairman of the department.
