Thad Buzolich
Corona del Mar, Senior
Water polo/Two-meter man
Because the Sea Kings have so many outstanding players, Buzolich doesn’t receive too many accolades, but Coach John Vargas is appreciative. “I think he’s really a selfless player,” Vargas said. “He sits back and does all the little things and when we need him, he steps up and takes a big role offensively.” Buzolich did most of his work on defense Saturday, holding Foothill’s two-meter men to only one goal between them in Corona del Mar’s 6-4 victory in the Division I semifinal. Buzolich also scored a goal to give the Sea Kings a 5-2 lead. He scored three goals in a 16-7 victory over Trabuco Hills.
