LANCASTER — A 19-year-old Pacoima man, who followed two men after an argument, died when he was shot in the head, authorities said Sunday.
Raul Estrada and his cousin were at a fast-food restaurant Friday night when they exchanged harsh words with two men in a light yellow Cadillac Seville, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ron Spear.
The men asked Estrada where he was from and when Estrada didn’t answer, they drove off, Spear said.
Estrada and his cousin followed the two men to 60th Street West and Avenue K, where Estrada got out of his car and approached the other driver’s window, Spear said.
“There was another exchange of words before the driver of the Cadillac said, ‘You punk,’ and fired one round from a handgun, striking Estrada in the head,” Spear said.
Spear said Estrada was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two men drove north on 60th Street and are still at large, Spear said.
