WHITTIER : Nelda Fodor to Fill School Board Vacancy
- Share via
Longtime resident Nelda Fodor has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Whittier City School District board.
The board voted 3 to 1 to appoint Fodor over two other candidates who made it to the final round of the selection process. Board member Charles E. Hurley voted against her appointment, saying he favored another applicant.
Fodor, a Whittier College library clerk, replaces Rosaura A. Aguerrebere, who resigned Sept. 7 after her husband took a job in New York City.
The seat will be on the ballot in November, 1995, when voters will decide who will serve the final two years of Aguerrebere’s term.
