Fire Hits Mattel Warehouse in Mexico: The El Segundo-based toy company said the blaze struck Tuesday at the company’s principal distribution facility in Mexico City, destroying the inventory but causing no injuries. Mattel Inc. said its four other warehouses in Mexico City, along with inventories from warehouses in other countries, will replace what was lost in the fire. A company spokesman said Mattel has insurance to cover the loss.
