SIMI VALLEY : Funds Approved for New Traffic Signals
- Share via
Hoping to improve the flow of traffic on Simi Valley thoroughfares, the City Council has agreed to install two new signals and upgrade three others.
New traffic lights will be installed at Alamo Street and Texas Avenue and at Royal Avenue and Vaquero Drive, the council agreed Monday.
In addition, red left-turn arrows will be removed from the intersections of Bonita Drive and Madera Road, Cochran Street and Galena Avenue, and at Cochran and Stearns streets.
Removing the red arrows will allow vehicles more time to turn, traffic engineer Bill Golubics said.
The city will spend $156,000 on the project.
