Grand Reopening: Anaheim Plaza hosts its grand reopening at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Orange County’s oldest shopping center was torn down last year to make way for a new collection of stores that includes Mervyn’s, Comp USA, Old Navy Clothing Co. and Ross Dress for Less. The 400,000-square-foot retail center will add a Wal-Mart store early next year.
Payless ShoeSource and Kenny Rogers Roasters have both signed on at the shopping center, as has Ross Stores Inc. The off-price retailer is opening 18 new locations this fall, bringing its store total to 277 in 18 states.
