LONG BEACH : Meeting Seeks Input on New West-End Park
- Share via
Residents are being invited to help plan a long-awaited, 14.5-acre park on the west end of downtown. Councilwoman Jenny Oropeza will lead the community meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at 5th Street and Golden Avenue.
The park, which will be bounded by Broadway, 6th Street, Golden Avenue and the Long Beach (710) Freeway, will be one of the few green areas on the city’s west end. Residents there have long complained that most of the city’s parks are on the wealthier east side.
Those who attend will be asked for ideas about what the park should include.
