Terrence Thomas scored on a 63-yard pass play from Ryan Huisenga and Dan Leffler kicked the extra point with 4:30 to play to lift Cal Lutheran, 3-4 overall and 2-3 in SCIAC, to a 17-16 conference victory over Pomona Pitzer (1-6, 0-5) at Cal Lutheran. Pomona-Pitzer’s Brendan McDermott missed a 36-yard field goal with seven seconds remaining. . . .D.R. Moreland caught three passes for 109 yards, including a 73-yard touchdown pass play, to lead Menlo (2-6) to a 35-28 nonconference victory over Whittier (1-6) at Menlo. . . .Mike Fisher completed 23 of 40 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns to lead Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (5-3) to a 34-20 victory over St. Mary’s (6-3) in a nonconference game at San Luis Obispo.
