EL SEGUNDO : 5-K Run Sunday Will Aid Leukemia Battle
Donna Kahl lost her husband, Roger, to leukemia more than two years ago, but her fight against the disease continues.
On Sunday, runners and walkers will compete in Roger’s Run, the annual 5-K race she helped organize five years ago to battle the disease. Kahl still works at the run, which raises money and tests potential bone-marrow donors.
Money raised at the race will help fund the National Bone Marrow Donor Program, which keeps a computerized registry of possible donors.
