A proposal to construct buildings 250 feet high at the Wilmington Refinery will be discussed today at a public hearing.
Ultramar Inc., which owns the refinery, has applied to the city of Los Angeles for permission to exceed the current height limit of 45 feet.
The refinery, on East Anaheim Street, is undergoing expansion so that Ultramar can produce reformulated fuels in a hydrogen facility.
The hearing will be at 10 a.m. in the Harbor District office of City Hall, Room 313, 638 Beacon St., San Pedro.
