AT & T to Distribute Tekelec Equipment

Tekelec, a Calabasas-based supplier of communication diagnostic and switching systems, said AT & T Network Systems, a unit of the AT & T Corp., has agreed to distribute Tekelec telephone-switching equipment.
Under the agreement, AT & T will distribute Tekelec’s Eagle signal transfer point products--switches that help set up telephone calls, verify calling card numbers and route 800 number calls, among other functions.
Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
