SANTA PAULA : Lightning Victim’s Condition Improves

The condition of a Santa Paula farm worker struck by lightning during an electrical storm last week was upgraded Sunday from critical to serious, hospital officials said.
Eulogio Rodriguez, 53, remains in the intensive-care unit at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, recovering from injuries sustained when he was hit by lightning in a Camarillo field Friday.
Rodriguez went into cardiac arrest after being struck.
