6 Homes Burned at Building Site

PALMDALE — Six homes under construction were destroyed and a seventh was damaged in a suspected arson fire early Sunday, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
The blaze at the Kaufman/Broad construction site, reported about 1:30 a.m. near 20th Street East and Avenue S, caused an estimated $300,000 in damage, said Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Gutierrez.
No one was injured in the fire, he said.
