HAVANA — Cuban authorities Saturday urged people not to attempt the dangerous return to Cuba from the U.S. Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay where thousands of Cuban boat people are being held.

The ministry urged Cubans to be patient, noting that one person had been killed and another seriously injured by mines.
