Carpinteria 24, Santa Paula 0--Running back Jeff Shaw rushed for 149 yards in 15 carries and scored twice on one-yard runs to lead host Carpinteria (2-1).
Santa Paula (1-2) gained 115 yards and threatened to score only once, reaching the eight-yard line late in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Ryan Cavender completed six of 14 for 54 yards and threw four interceptions. He also gained 26 yards in four carries.
