HUNTINGTON BEACH — A fire of suspicious origin left one family homeless Friday.
The fire began about 8 p.m. on the second floor of a fourplex in the 16500 block of Regina Circle and quickly spread to the ceiling and roof, Battalion Chief Duane Olson said.
A 14-year-old girl living in one of the four units was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to Huntington Beach Medical Center, according to Fire Department spokesman Randy Goodman.
It took 33 firefighters a little more than 20 minutes to control the blaze.
