Chapman Gets Easy Victory for Starters

Chapman University, playing its first football game after a 62-year hiatus, defeated Whittier College, 30-13, Saturday in front of 4,200 at Whittier.
Quarterback Curtis Robinson accounted for 272 yards of total offense and all four Chapman touchdowns. He completed nine of 14 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns in 17 carries.
The Panthers scored on their first possession when Robinson completed a 12-yard pass to Dave Poll, completing a drive of 92 yards in 14 plays.
