Orange County High School Football PREP EXTRA : Robinson Leads Canyon Past Buena Park, 27-0

ORANGE — Canyon overwhelmed Buena Park, 27-0, Friday night at El Modena High School, as the Comanches got off to a fast start for the second consecutive season.
Devvon Robinson scored two touchdowns for the Comanches (2-0), who were 4-0-1 in nonleague play last season. Canyon was third in the Century League and qualified for the Southern Section Division IV playoffs, its first postseason appearance since 1986.
Robinson scored on an eight-yard run in the first quarter to give the Comanches the lead.
Adam Hoover, on a quarterback sneak, ran 20 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. Hoover also threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Greg Jacobs, giving the Comanches a 21-0 lead at halftime.
Canyon also had two touchdowns called back because of penalties.
Robinson scored on a four-yard run in the third quarter.
Buena Park is 0-1-1.
