Quartz Hill 39, Burbank 6--Brian Pereira raced 74 yards for a touchdown on the second play of the second quarter and Jermell Adams returned the second-half kickoff 82 yards for a score as the Rebels (2-0) routed the visiting Bulldogs.
Quartz Hill rolled up 375 yards in offense to only 140 for Burbank. Pereira led Rebel rushers with 81 yards in three carries, and Jeremiah Harris added 68 yards in eight carries.
Quarterback Damien Kendrid completed only two passes in the first half, but both went for touchdowns, one of eight yards to Andy Rethi and the other going 28 yards to James Welch.
Burbank (1-1) averted a shutout when Vaughn Lucas scored from one yard with two minutes to play.
